To choose the right technique is not always an easy task. Here you can find some information about the techniques available for portrait making and their advantages and disadvantages.

Pencil
Pencil painting art can serve both as a preparation stage in the techniques of oil colors, aquarelle, acrylic, etc., and as a separate art work.
This type of art is performed only with black graphite pencils on white or yellowish special paper, intended for pencil drawings. The different styles and methods use different graphite softness, varying from H to 10B. Pencil drawings represent a detailed black and white technique suitable for making comparatively small works.
When framing pencil drawing it is necessary under the frame to add a suitable picture mount, usually in gray nuances because of the grayness of the picture. Framing the painting with glass is obligatory with this type of technique.
